Do you like it more comfortable? A great network of hiking trails extends around Grindelwald and there are some worthwhile hiking tours. There is an Eiger North Face feeling on the Eigertrail from Eigergletscher to Alpiglen. Or visit one of the surrounding SAC huts ( Glecksteinhütte , Schreckhornhütte , Mönchsjochhütte , Engelhornhütte ) or watch the rock cliff on the Eiger's eastern flank from Bäregg . Fancy a summit? Either an alpine hiking trail or a via ferrata leads to the Schwarzhorn. The Faulhorn on the way from First to the Schynige Platte beckons with a unique view. Ask at reception for other excursion destinations.
